Wiiboox SLM150 3D printer is an Industrial 3D printer which works based on Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technology. After designing and producing a 3D model of the desired part, the corresponding file is edited using Slicing software and save in STL format. The material used to produce the piece, which is metal powder, is poured into the machine working area and, using a high-power laser beam, the metal powder is melted at the selected points and form a solid layer. By repeating the process for the other layers of the model, the part is produced. It is finally removed from the machine and ready for use after cleaning. In some cases, depending on the type of alloy used, the hardness and strength desired, heat treatment and other operations can also be performed.
