With changing of global economy, major organizations are realizing that they not only must cut costs across the supply chain, but also position themselves to capture new market opportunities, innovate to differentiate themselves from the competition. Today, the growing complexity of doing business in a dynamic global environment requires a new approach to management decision making.
The purpose of this article is to identify strengths and weaknesses of current supply chain management at different levels as: strategic orientation, process and IT support, management and organization, cooperationو and measurements. Another goal is to make suggestions as to what parts we have to focus on in the future to reach the desired performance of supply chain management.
This paper considers the risk assessment in the field of knowledge management. An overview of the factors critical to the success of a knowledge management system is presented, as well as one method of risk assessment including its possible application to a knowledge management system. Identification of risk factors together with the evaluation of their impact on knowledge management system, quantifying of risk, corrections and comparison of the results are being discussed.
